Domingos Industriales

What goes on in the great production areas of a city when during weekends and holidays they empty?
In the metropolitan area of Barcelona, there are many such spaces dedicated to work: industrial estates, office buildings, fairs, universities etc.
In principal these spaces were originally conceived on the outskirts but with the development and expansion of the city, they have ended up being incorporated into it.
For many days a year, these areas stop their conventional activities and are no longer used as they were originally conceived. The Spanish crisis has contributed to further reducing recreational possibilities whilst increasing social discomfort. These places have become ideal for alternative uses: failed industrial warehouses used as Evangelical churches; wide empty roads perfect for cycling, dog walking or looking for materials to recycle; empty car parks become cricket pitches or places to carry out some car maintenance; unused or abandoned areas are ideal for looking for snails.
